“80 degrees isn’t hot enough for the sauna”, I said, as I cranked up the temperature to 130 and stepped in while another man was leaving. He looked at the temperature dial, laughed to himself, then grinned while he locked the door, while I realized that in Iceland, they use Celsius.
“I love getting in one final workout before they close,” I said as I stepped into the sauna. “Yup, final workout,” the man said as he walked out, turned around, and locked the door with a grin.
As the man walked into the elevator with me, he looked at the lit button and said, “That’s funny, same floor.” I walked towards my apartment and heard the same voice say, “That’s funny, same door,” as I felt the point of a knife press against my back.
Her pleading eyes begged him to stop as he inserted the blade yet again. With a smirk, he dug the knife deeper and said, “Til death do us part.”
His bright blue eyes were boring holes straight through me. “Superman, please stop” I pleaded.
